Jon Gordon (born 1966 in New York City) is an American jazz musician who is leader of the Jon Gordon Quartet and plays alto saxophone. Gordon took first prize in the Thelonious Monk International Jazz Saxophone Competition in 1996.〔Jazz Improv -2007 Volume 7, Issues 3-4 - Page 198 "For a while an item near the top of my music to do list has been to check out saxophonist Jon Gordon.
